Ionic liquid-assisted isolation of lignin from lignocellulose and its esterification with fatty acids

چکیده

Ionic liquids (ILs) have been widely used for lignocellulose fractionation and lignin isolation. However, the effect of IL treatment on structure has less explored. This study aimed to explore chemical isolated by imidazolium based ILs compare it with well-known milled wood (MWL). Four types were used, effects conditions (ILL) characteristics evaluated. As temperature was increased from 60 140 °C, ILL yield increased, whereas molecular weight hydroxyl group content decreased. Among ILs, [EMIM]Ac produced highest (5.28%), obtained had lowest (1.27 mM/g) a (Mw) 29,500 g/mol. Esterification performed using three fatty acid chlorides, octanoyl chloride (C8), lauroyl (C12), palmitoyl (C16), extend its applicability. The esterification evaluated, successful confirmed Fourier transform infrared nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies.

Sulfonated porous carbon catalyzed esterification of free fatty acids

The esterification of free fatty acids (FFA) with methanol is studied using Sulfonated Porous Carbon (SPC) as catalyst. In compare to the amorphous sugar catalyst and protonated Nafion, the proposed catalyst shows stability and high efficient performance in biodiesel production. The highest initial rate of oleic acid conversion is obtained at catalyst loading of 1 mmol H+ and mole ra...

Esterification of Mixtures of Pure Fatty Acids with Methanol

Extracts from secondary biomass, e. g. spent coffee grounds (SCG), can be utilized in the production of biodiesel additives (esters of fatty acids with low molecular mass alcohols). However, they contain a significant amount of free fatty acids, so the transesterification of their glycerides has to be preceded by catalytic esterification of these acids. SCG extracts are essentially a mixture of...

Novel biocatalytic esterification reactions on fatty acids:

Aspergillus terreus lipase has exhibited novel capability of catalyzing esterification reaction between fatty acids (C4-C18) and primary, secondary and tertiary monohydric alcohols. Although, the lipase efficiently catalyzed the esterification of saturated stearic acid (C18:0), it failed to accept the monounsaturated oleic acid (C18:1) as the substrate which is also a C18 acid, but has a double...

Ionic liquid-assisted synthesis, characterization and photocatalytic properties of SnO microflowers with nanosheet subunits

In this study, simple ionic liquid-assisted preparation of SnO microflowers with nanosheet subunitsunder reflux condition without calcination were described. Samples were synthesized using 1-pentyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide, [pmim]Br, as an ionic liquid in different molar ratio, sodium hydroxideand Tin(II) chloride. The results show that SnO with high purity and uniform size...
